Okay so I haaaate TBRs. I just cannot stick to them and they make reading not fun for me so why bother?? But there are several books I really want to read, and the little amount of reading I got done this year has just made me all the more eager to finally read them in 2019. So this is a post listing them all. If I get to the end of 2019 and I’ve read none of them don’t remind me of my failures. Thank u!
Also, this list excludes 2019 releases because I’m too lazy to look them up. Let’s go!
Tokyo Ghoul manga – Sui Ishida
In 2019 I will finish this series. I only made it to volume 6 so I may as well start from scratch and read the entire thing. I’ve almost completed the anime but lets be honest it makes no bloody sense anymore. If one good thing came out of the anime it’s that it’s encouraging me to finish the manga (and also the gorgeous soundtrack).
Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating – Christina Lauren
I love Christina Lauren romance novels so it makes no sense for me not to read this. Also I think it’s a second chance/friends to lovers romance so I’m game.
Autoboyography – Christina Lauren
And another CLo book I still haven’t got around to reading. Heard great things! Cover is gorgeous. I need to read this!
Simon Vs. – Becky Albertalli
I still haven’t read this I’m sorry! 2019 lets do it!
The Chase – Elle Kennedy
It’s kind of a spin off from the Off-Campus series which I really liked. And I’ve heard great things about this book so it’ll be nice to revisit this world and its characters.
Ghosts of the Shadow Market – Cassie Clare & friends
I’m herongraystairs TRASH for life. I don’t care how old I am, I think I’ll always have a soft spot for these characters. I’ve read a few of these instalments but I would like to complete the series in 2019 before Chain of Gold comes out which I’ve waited YEARS for. I’m very excited!
So that’s my mini list of the books I plan to pick up in 2019. I know it’s pretty short but I don’t want to put pressure on myself to read a ton next year because I have no idea what my year is going to look like. But I am willing to make some exceptions and these are the books I am most eager to read next year (besides new releases, of course!)
Do you have a TBR planned for next year? Or any reading goals for 2019? Let me know what your plans are!
