February Wrap-Up

I swear I blinked and February was over… I hate when the month’s suddenly over and you feel like you’ve achieved nothing for that month. Anyways, this is my wrap-up post for February. I imagine it’s gonna be a short one…

reading

This month I read six novels… Not as good as last month but I’m not really disappointed.

feb

Pucked Off was a re-listen while I was working on blog posts. Scenes from the Hallway was a Valentine’s Day freebie. Sports romance From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata was an anticipated read and it was lovely to read mid-winter Olympic games. Falling for my Best Friend was a novella I found on Amazon for free and I probably won’t be picking up the rest of the series…

Two reads this month can be added to the Lesbian Bingo Book Challenge I’m taking part in: Always Human, an online comic, was such a fun read! My second read was novella Stop and Go, which I got free from Amazon and it was a super cute friends to lovers romance.

blogging

I’ve been working harder on creating content that aren’t tags this month. I’ll still do the occasional tag because they’re fun to make, but this month I really wanted to work on original content and I created a lot of posts in February. Whether they get views or not is okay with me because making them was really fun and it was nice to actually have ideas for blog posts for a change. I think for a while last year I struggled with new ideas for the blog so I’m happy to be making original content.

I also changed my blog design and made all-new featured images. I’m not even sure if I like this new design more than my previous one, but I really wanted to add more colour and vibrancy to my blog, because I thought it looked so bare before. Let me know what you think? It’s not perfect and needs tweaking but I’m happy with it.

personal

In my personal life, not much has happened this month, but I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what I want to do career wise and I think I’ve come to a decision which is really exciting. I couldn’t attend uni last year because I couldn’t afford to move away from home to attend the course I wanted to go to. So now that I’ve decided on a different subject, I’ll be applying to uni closer to home in the next couple months. Hopefully I’ll have better luck this time because I’m yearning to get back into education.

I’ve also picked up driving lessons again because my test is coming up really soon (less than a week to go!) I mentioned in my January post that I failed my last test and I feel quite nervous about this one. It’d be great if I passed! I think I’d feel more like an adult if I had my license.

A bookish-related thing is that I’ve been working on selling more of my paperbacks. The amount of money offered for my books is a joke honestly but I’m just happy to be getting rid of them because I don’t enjoy owning paperbacks anymore. But books I’ve won in giveaways or have received as presents are staying, I couldn’t sell those! It’s more old YA and uni books I’ll never pick up again that I’m selling off. And it feels nice to de-clutter.

And that was my February! Tell me about yours!
